The service

Yinthread reads Chinese BaZi (“eight characters”) compatibility from two people’s birth details and shows a score and grade. You can optionally buy a written report about that pairing. There is no account and no subscription. The service is operated by Tang Shao Ming, a sole trader, of 16 Raydon Street, London N19 5BU, United Kingdom.

Entertainment only — not advice

The score, grade and report are for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial, psychological or relationship advice, and they are not a statement of fact about any real person. Decisions you make are your own.

Other people’s birth details

A reading uses two people’s birth details. Only enter another person’s details if you are entitled to, and keep any reading you share with others to people who are happy to see it.

The paid report

If you buy a report, it is written once by a third-party AI provider on an OpenAI-compatible service hosted in the United States, then stored and served to you again from a permanent link. What data is sent, and what stays private, is set out in our Privacy Policy. Because a report is a digital item delivered immediately, it is generally non-refundable except where the law gives you a refund right or the payment processor’s rules apply.

Your licence to the report

A report you buy is for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may read it, keep it, and share it privately with the people in the reading. You may not resell it, redistribute it in bulk, or use it — or any report from this service — to build a dataset or to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning model. The wording and design of the report and the service remain ours; this licence does not transfer that ownership to you.

About the AI-written content

The written report is generated by an AI language model. Like all such models, it can be wrong: it may contain inaccurate, made-up or randomly-generated statements, and two reports for similar inputs may differ. It is not a factual record of anyone and not a prediction of real events. Read it for reflection and entertainment only, and do not rely on it for any decision.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, overload or try to break the service.
• Do not use automated tools to scrape or bulk-generate readings.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or withdraw the service. The reading engine is provided “as is”; to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
